The 12-pack story…
The Mom continues to stare at the 12-pack: For a new flavor of drink … that we don’t know if we’ll like? Seems to be a lot of money. I
know there is a cost to try new things, but to spend that much … and
possibly throw out most of it … I just don’t think it is worth it.
Why can’t these crazy new flavors come in smaller packs? Last time I
tried something for fun, eight of them just sat in the fridge just
taking up space. … then I threw them out.
I think Jason will have to wait, I’m not buying 12 of them.
The 4-pack story…
The Mom picks up the four-pack: Well for that price, it’s worth a
try. We’ll see if Tom decides to be that daring. First he’ll make
fun of it and then, if he likes it, he’ll ask one of the twins to
write it on the shopping list. And if no one likes it, well, at
least we won’t have any bottles taking up space in the fridge. I
know, I’ll get a movie, make some popcorn, and see what everyone
thinks.
Coconut-Pineapple Fury … it actually sounds pretty tasty.
A bonus 6-pack story…
A mom shopping for a party: What should I buy for Chelsea’s party?
Chelsea plus four makes five total … plus Nate, Anna and me. I’ll
just grab a twelve-pack of the usual. Wait, what is this? MangoTango?
No caffeine. Vitamin C. Perfect. That sounds like a fun drink for
teenage girls. I wonder if they would like it. I’ll get a six-pack …
this way they can all try one – maybe I will too. Then I can grab a
six-pack of the usual, just in case not all the girls like it.
Actually, I hope they don’t. I want to try it.
Later that afternoon … Mom overhears the girls talking: This MangoTango is awesome. Their ads are so funny … when the Dad finds a
mango in his briefcase. Ha ha. I’m going to have my Mom buy some for
when … Hey, I love this song! Turn it up!
